These methods are constantly being improved by our in house quality assurance systems and regular training is conducted with our trades to keep them up to date on all relevant changes. With some of our trades having been with us for almost 30 years, we have the utmost confidence in the product they will produce for us, and ultimately you.

Our extensive experience in all facets of building allows us to provide excellent value for money, whilst always incorporating new innovations and environmental awareness into your project. Being able to provide a comprehensive quote, fixed price contract and a set timeline means that we can provide you with peace of mind you require whilst undertaking this exciting journey with us.

History

Repeat business is a major part of our success

Since it commenced in 1954, AGW Homes has been one of Melbourne’s premier builder’s.

It’s strong emphasis on attention to detail has ensured this family owned business’s success in the construction industry. Over the past 60 plus years, we have built hundreds of dwellings, from multi-unit developments to luxurious beach-side homes.

Originally founded by Arthur Woodland, A G Woodland Pty Ltd was taken over by his son, Mark Woodland over 30 years ago. Mark has continued to develop the family business into a thriving organization, re-branding it as AGW Homes.

Repeat business has been a major aspect of AGW Homes’ success. Clients have been coming back to Mark for his personalized service to build their homes time and again, with some clients up to their fifth or sixth house. This loyalty underlines the time, care and effort Mark and the team at AGW Homes put into every project.

With each project, no stone is left unturned. From start to finish, AGW Homes will guide you through the project with unsurpassed construction and design knowledge, scrupulous attention to detail and superb craftsmanship to ensure you will be completely satisfied with the end result.

Where We Build

Environmental

AGW Homes, the GreenSmart Professionals

Residential ‘Green’ buildings (or renovations) are constructed with a superior level of respect for the environment and building inhabitants.

As a resident of a Green home, you benefit from optimised airflow, climate control and natural lighting, enhanced ergonomics, and reduced energy and water bills.

We are proud to hold our GreenSmart accreditation from the HIA and continue to extend our knowledge of environmental sustainability. By choosing to build using GreenSmart principles, you help conserve the earth’s resources and minimise impacts on our environment. We are always willing to share ideas on how you could integrate GreenSmart principles into your project. The smallest things can make large impacts for both environment and inhabitants.

We can assist with making your home more sustainable across a number of areas:

  • Solar orientation, solar electricity and solar hot water systems
  • Cross ventilation and oxygen enhancing flora
  • Double glazing and other insulation options
  • Rain water collection and grey water recycling
  • LED lighting and appliance efficiency.

GreenSmart principles are really beneficial to you and your family (and the wider community). They enable us to be able to:

  • Demonstrate improved energy, resource, and water efficiency
  • Enable homeowners to waste less and recycle more
  • Create healthier homes for occupants
  • Reduce the waste from the building process
  • Improve site management during construction.

The long term benefits of designing and building a home to include GreenSmart principles can include lowering energy and water bills, a warmer house in winter, a cooler house in summer, increased resource efficiency, a healthier home for the occupants and less waste going to landfill.
